Selling Methods in Zelph

Selling Methods are how a seller can list inventory with you. You choose which methods your sellers can use under Settings > Seller Network > Selling Methods.

Selling Methods is part of the Zelph Seller Network, available on the Consignment plan.

The three methods

✅ Remote Sell

The seller holds onto the item until it sells. Only when a customer buys does the seller ship it — either directly to the customer (if they’re a Trusted Seller) or to your authentication location (if they aren’t).

  • Best for: sellers with stock that hasn’t moved yet, or sellers you trust to ship to your customers.
  • Trade-off: stock isn’t in your hands, so you depend on the seller to dispatch on time.
  • Returns: go to your Trusted Seller Return Address (see Authentication Locations & Return Addresses).

✅ Ship to Warehouse

The seller ships or drops off the item to one of your authentication locations before it’s listed. You verify it, accept it into inventory, and from that point you handle fulfilment when it sells.

  • Best for: high-value, branded, or authenticated items where you need eyes on the goods first.
  • Trade-off: warehouse time + authentication labour is on your team.
  • Flow: every shipment passes through Inventory Reviews and the Authenticate Shipment step.

🚧 Instant Sell (coming soon)

You create offers for products you want to source. Sellers can accept the offer instantly without listing. This method appears in the UI but isn’t yet available — we’ll announce when it goes live.

Which methods to enable

Tick the boxes for the methods you want to allow on your network. You can enable one, two, or all three.

  • Most networks start with Ship to Warehouse only while building trust with their sellers.
  • As you onboard more reliable sellers, enable Remote Sell and mark those sellers as Trusted so they can ship direct.
  • If you disable a method, existing listings on that method are unaffected — only new submissions are blocked.

How Selling Methods interact with Trusted Sellers

Selling Method and Trusted-Seller status combine to drive the fulfilment flow:

Seller status Selling Method What happens on a sale
Non-Trusted Remote Sell Seller ships to your authentication location, you forward to the customer.
Trusted Remote Sell Seller ships directly to the customer.
Non-Trusted Ship to Warehouse You already hold the stock; you fulfil from your warehouse.
Trusted Ship to Warehouse Same as above — once stock is at your warehouse, trust doesn’t change fulfilment.
