Seller Levels in Zelph
Seller Levels let you tier your sellers based on sales performance, with different commission rates, shipping fees, and badge colours per tier. New sellers start on the default level and progress automatically as they hit your sales requirements.
Seller Levels is part of the Zelph Seller Network, available on the Consignment plan.
Where to find it
Go to Seller Network > Seller Levels in the sidebar. You’ll see a table of every configured level, sorted by entry requirement (lowest first), showing:
- Level name and badge colour
- Whether it’s the default level
- A summary of its sales requirements (e.g. “50+ sales, £5,000+ in value, past 12 months”)
- Commission rate
- Local shipping fee
- How many sellers are currently in the level
Creating a level
- Click Create.
- Fill in:
- Name — e.g. Bronze, Silver, Gold
- Description — what this tier represents
- Minimum sales (count) — number of sales needed to qualify
- Minimum sales (value) — total revenue needed to qualify (in your workspace currency)
- Time period — the look-back window for the requirements (e.g. past 12 months)
- Commission rate (%) — what your workspace takes on each sale at this level
- Local shipping fee — the flat fee charged to sellers for local shipping at this level
- Badge colour — visual indicator shown on the seller’s profile
- Default level? — toggle on for the level new sellers start at
- Click Save.
How sellers move between levels
Zelph calculates each seller’s sales total across the time window you set and assigns them to the highest level they qualify for. As they hit a higher tier’s requirements, they’re promoted automatically; if their performance drops, they move back down.
Your default level catches anyone who doesn’t yet meet the criteria for a higher tier.
Editing a level
Click Edit on any level to update its name, requirements, commission, fees, or badge colour. Changes apply immediately to every seller in that tier.
Deleting a level
Click Delete on a level. If any sellers are currently assigned to it, you’ll be prompted to choose another level to move them to first. This prevents sellers from being orphaned.
You can also bulk-delete multiple levels via the table’s checkbox actions, with the same reassignment safeguard.
Example setup
| Level | Requirements | Commission | Shipping fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze (default) | None | 20% | £5 |
| Silver | 25 sales OR £2,500 in 12 months | 15% | £3 |
| Gold | 100 sales OR £10,000 in 12 months | 10% | £0 (free) |
Tips
- Keep your default level’s commission high enough to cover your handling costs — most new sellers sit here.
- Reward your top tier with materially better terms (lower commission, free shipping) so the progression is worth chasing.
- Use the badge colour to make tiers visually distinct in the Sellers directory.
