How Order Fulfilment Works for Retailers in Zelph
Zelph’s fulfilment process is designed to make drop-shipping seamless. Whether you're acting as a retailer or a supplier, orders are automatically tagged, routed, and synced to ensure a smooth, reliable flow from purchase to delivery.
This article explains how order fulfilment works specifically for retailers.
🛍 Retailer Orders: How They Work
When a customer places an order in your Shopify store that includes a supplier’s product via Zelph:
- The order appears in your normal Shopify orders queue
It is tagged with:
Zelph - [Supplier Name]
(e.g.
Zelph - David's T-Shirt Supplier Store
)
🏷️ Shopify users can easily filter orders by tag to quickly find orders routed via Zelph.
🔍 Where to Find Order & Supplier Info
Each Zelph-powered order will include an "Additional Details" section in your Zelph dashboard. This includes:
- The Supplier's Name
- The Supplier's Order Number
- Any key fulfilment instructions or status updates
This helps you track fulfilment progress without needing to chase your supplier directly.
🚚 How Fulfilment Works
- The Supplier receives the order
Zelph sends all relevant order details to the supplier, including the customer’s shipping information
The Supplier ships the order
- The supplier fulfills the order using their usual method (e.g. courier, warehouse)
They upload the tracking information in Zelph
Tracking info syncs back to you
- Once the supplier fulfills the order, Zelph automatically:
- Marks the order as fulfilled in your Shopify store
- Syncs the tracking number and courier link
- Updates the status for your customer to see
✅ The customer experiences a seamless delivery process — no matter who the supplier is.
🔄 What If I Have Multiple Suppliers?
Each item in an order is tagged individually based on the supplier, and Zelph routes fulfilment and tracking per item. This means:
- You can sell products from multiple suppliers in one cart
- Each supplier handles their part of the order
- Customers still get unified order tracking in Shopify
🔐 Data Sharing & Privacy
Only the minimum necessary customer data (name, shipping address, contact details) is shared with suppliers — strictly for the purpose of fulfilling the order.
