What are the shipping terms I can choose on Zelph?

When collaborating with Suppliers on Zelph, you can customise shipping terms to align with your business model and customer experience. The available options include:

  1. Supplier's Dynamic Rate:

    • Customer Charge: Your customers are charged the exact shipping rates that the Supplier offers on their site.
    • Retailer Payment: You pay the Supplier the same amount collected from the customer, effectively passing through the shipping cost.
    • Recommendation: This option is recommended whenever possible to maintain consistency.

*Supplier’s dynamic rate is available for customers using Shopify Plus or higher. If you are using Shopify Basic, you’ll need to upgrade your account to include carrier shipping or switch to Shopify Yearly Billing to gain access. Once you upgrade or switch, please contact us to get access.

  1. Flat Rate:

    • Customer Charge: You set a custom flat shipping rate for your customers (e.g., £5.99 per order).
    • Retailer Payment: You agree upon a flat rate to pay the Supplier, which can be the same or different from what the customer pays.
    • Use Case: Ideal for maintaining a consistent shipping experience for customers while managing costs with Suppliers.

  1. Flat + Dynamic Rate:

    • Customer Charge: You charge a custom flat rate to your customers.
    • Retailer Payment: You pay the Supplier's dynamic rate as offered on their site.
    • Use Case: Suitable for offering predictable shipping costs to customers while compensating Suppliers based on their actual rates.

Note: The inverse (Dynamic + Flat Rate) is not supported; you cannot charge customers the Supplier’s dynamic rate while paying the Supplier a custom flat rate.

  1. Free Shipping:

    • Customer Charge: You offer free shipping to your customers.
    • Retailer Payment: You do not pay the Supplier for shipping costs.
    • Use Case: Best for promotions or competitive advantage, ensuring no shipping costs for both customers and yourself.

These shipping terms can be configured during the proposal workflow with your Suppliers, allowing you to tailor the shipping experience to your business needs.
