Quick Guide to Retailer Operations on Zelph
Zelph empowers retailers to source products from trusted suppliers, connect multiple Shopify stores, and sell with confidence β all without managing stock or fulfilment manually.
This guide explains how retailers operate within Zelph, from subscribing to products to managing orders and syncing across storefronts.
π 1. Subscribing to Supplier Products
Once your Shopify store(s) are connected, browse the Marketplace in Zelph to discover products offered by suppliers.
- Use filters to find products by brand, category, and stock
- Click Subscribe to initiate a relationship
This begins a pricing proposal and negotiation flow.
π· 2. Commission-Based Price Negotiation
Retailers do not control pricing directly. Instead:
You propose a commission or margin to the supplier
The supplier can:
- Accept your terms
- Counter with different rates
Once you both agree:
- The product is approved for sale on your store(s)
- The agreed price is automatically applied in Shopify
- Your profit per unit is shown in Zelph
π‘ Zelph ensures transparent pricing relationships and protects supplier pricing integrity.
π 3. Publishing Products to Your Store(s)
Once a subscription is approved and pricing is agreed:
You can publish the product to your connected Shopify store(s) in two ways:
Option 1: Via Zelph
- On the product page, go to Availability > Stores
- Select one or more Shopify stores
- Zelph syncs the product details, variants, and imagery
Option 2: Directly in Shopify
- Because Zelph supports two-way sync, you can also manage store/channel visibility from within Shopify itself (e.g. publish to Online Store, POS, etc.)
β οΈ Retailers cannot edit Compare at Prices β pricing is controlled by the supplier once a deal is agreed.
π 4. Order Fulfilment & Tracking
When a customer places an order that includes a supplierβs product:
- The order is:
- Tagged in your Shopify (e.g.
Zelph β XP Marketplace
) - Routed to the supplier automatically
- Tagged in your Shopify (e.g.
Retailers can see:
- The supplier name
- Order reference
- Fulfilment and tracking status under Orders > Additional Details in Zelph
How fulfilment works:
The supplier can fulfill the order in one of two ways:
Directly in Zelph
β Upload tracking info manually
β Mark order as fulfilled
Directly in their own Shopify β
β Most suppliers fulfill orders using their own Shopify
β Once fulfilled and tracking is added, Zelph automatically syncs this status back to your Shopify store
β The order appears as fulfilled to your customer with full tracking
π§ You donβt need to chase tracking updates β everything syncs automatically.
π 5. Inventory & Data Sync
Zelph keeps your store(s) up to date in real-time:
- Inventory changes made by the supplier are instantly reflected in your store
Product data updates (title, description, media) sync automatically
2-way sync with Shopify ensures:
- Changes made in Shopify are ingested and reflected in Zelph
- Inventory changes made in Shopify are also propagated across connected stores β unless restricted by supplier permissions
β οΈ Retailers cannot edit stock quantities or product metadata for supplier-owned products.
𧩠6. Multi-Store Setup
Retailers can connect and manage multiple Shopify stores from one Zelph account. You can:
- Enable products across any combination of storefronts (e.g. UK, US, EU)
- Share inventory across all stores
- Request price overrides per store during negotiation
For example:
- You sell 5 units of a product across 3 regions
- If one unit sells on Shopify EU, all other stores instantly reflect the updated quantity
