Onboarding to Zelph as a Retailer on Shopify
Welcome to Zelph! We’re excited to help you connect your Shopify store and start sharing your inventory with retailers on our platform. This guide walks you through the step-by-step process to get up and running as a Zelph Retailer.
🧩 What You’ll Need
- A live Shopify store
- Your store’s .myshopify.com domain
- Your Shopify admin access
- A few minutes to complete setup
Step 1: Register as a Retailer on Zelph
- Visit: https://app.zelph.com/register
- Choose Retailer when prompted
- Complete the sign-up form to create your Zelph account
⚠️ Important: This step creates your business "tenant" in Zelph's system — it’s a private space where you manage your products, prices, and orders.
Step 2: Create a new Store
Click on "Stores" in the left hand menu, then click "New Store" in the top right hand corner
Step 3: Enter Shopify Credentials
We need to enter the following credentials which we will obtain from Shopify in the next step. This will allow Zelph to communicate with your Shopify, and vice versa.
Step 4: Open your Shopify and go to the following
Go to Settings -
The Click on "Apps & Sales Channels" and then "Develop Apps"
The click on "Allow custom app development" -
The click on "Create an app" -
You can name the app "Zelph" and then press "Create app" -
Next you will want to click on "Configure Admin API scopes" -
Check all of the boxes, and then press Save -
Next click on "API credentials" and "Install app" -
Click "Reveal token once" to reveal your access token. Once revealed copy this token.
And paste in in the "Access token" field in the Zelph settings -
The copy your "API secret key" -
And paste it in the "API secret key" field in Zelph -
Make sure all the fields are populated including your Shopify store URL.
Then press "Create"
Step 5: Import Products and Inventory
Now under Store you will see your connected store. Click in "Ingest" to begin importing your products and inventory into Zelph
You will see a message "Your data has imported successfully" once complete.
Common Questions
Q: Do I need a paid app in Shopify?
A: No. The Zelph integration uses a private app connection and incurs no upfront costs.
Q: Will Zelph change my products in Shopify?
A: No. We only read your data and push updates when you sync — nothing is overwritten without your control.
Q: How do I pay suppliers?
A: Zelph charges your saved payment method and relays funds to your supplier.
