How to Add a New Product in Zelph
Zelph lets you manage your product catalog across multiple Shopify stores with a centralised and flexible interface — including support for variants, inventory sync, and pricing control.
✅ Step-by-Step: Creating a Product
- Navigate to “Products”. From the sidebar, click Products > Create.
- Fill in the Product Details:
- Title: Name of your product
- Description: Rich text description (use the toolbar for bold, headings, links, lists, etc.)
- Handle: This is the product’s unique URL (auto-generated if left blank)
- Media: Upload images (2048×2048px, max 5MB recommended)
- Choose Store Syncing. Under Availability, tick which stores (e.g. “Zelph Shopify UK”) you want this product to sync to. You can sync the same product to multiple stores.
- Organise Product & Shipping Info.
- Add Type, Vendor, and optional Tags
- Set optional Shipping & Customs defaults: country of origin, HS code, weight, weight unit
- Click Create. Hit Create to save your product.
➕ How to Add Variants
To add variants like sizes or colours (e.g. UK 3, UK 4.5):
- After saving your product, scroll to the Options tab.
- Click New Product Option (e.g. “Size” or “Colour”).
- Enter the Option Name (like Size).
- Add each value (e.g. 3 UK, 3.5 UK, 4 UK, etc.).
- Already have an option? Click Edit next to the existing option (e.g. “Size”) to add or update variant values.
- When you add or edit values, Zelph will automatically generate the variant combinations under the Variants tab.
🧾 Editing Variant Info
Once variants have been created:
- Click the Variants tab.
- Click Edit next to any variant. In the popup, you can edit:
- Title
- SKU
- Barcode
- Shipping & Customs info: Origin Country, HS Code, Weight & Weight unit
- Option value (e.g. Size = 4.5 UK)
Make sure to Save changes when done.
🔁 Real-Time Syncing with Shopify
Zelph syncs your product and variant data with all connected Shopify stores:
- ✅ Two-way sync: Changes made in Zelph or Shopify are reflected both ways.
- A product can be published to multiple stores (e.g. UK + EU) with a single inventory source.
- When a variant sells on one store, inventory is updated on all stores.
Example: You create 1 Medium Black T-Shirt and sync it to Shopify UK and Shopify EU. If it sells on the UK store, Zelph automatically deducts the inventory across all stores.
🔒 Subscribed Inventory
If you’re a retailer subscribed to a supplier’s product:
- You cannot edit the inventory quantity — only the supplier can adjust their stock.
- You can still list the product on your own stores under the agreed pricing terms.
